I just love and crave hummus. I eat it on everything, toast, crackers, carrots and even cucumber. But sometimes it can be a little pricey to purchase in the store so I make my own! Hummus is made of chickpeas (garbanzo beans) It can be made with or without Tahini.
In a food processor, add drained can of garbanzo beans, chopped garlic, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper and red pepper flakes. Blend all until very smooth. Scrape sides of the bowl and taste. Add more olive oil or seasoning to taste. Top with red pepper flakes.
